A Message from Executive Director
Welcome to the Forest City Housing Authority website.
The goal of this website is to provide enhanced communications with our residents as well as the public.
Information will be updated monthly, so make sure you check back often.
Forest City Housing Authority was established under the Housing Authorities Law, Chapter 157, General Statutes of North Carolina, on January 22, 1969.
The housing authority has been in operation since 1973 and has housed thousands of families in need of safe and affordable housing.
My career with Forest City Housing Authority began as the Administrative Assistant in March of 2006.
Initially, I worked the front office managing the day-to-day operations of the housing authority.
In 2020, a new Executive Director was hired, and my position changed to Operations Manager.
I worked closely under the guidance and supervision of the new Executive Director until his passing in November of 2022.
In December of 2022, I was promoted to serve as the Executive Director.
My goal is to continually enhance affordable housing for individuals and families that are in need of safe and decent housing.
With the help of a wonderful and caring staff and our Board of Commissioners, we will work together to run an efficient, ethical, and professional agency and make this a place that our residents are proud to call home.
